Not at all! Starting early can actually be a big advantage, as long as the timing is right. Preparing earlier allows students to build strong foundations gradually, without the pressure of looming test dates, and avoid the stress of cramming during junior year. It also creates flexibility to test earlier, leave room for retakes if needed, and shift focus to academics and extracurriculars later on.

That said, effective SAT preparation does depend on academic readiness. Our program works best for students who have already completed Algebra II and Geometry, since those concepts form the core of SAT Math. If a student hasn’t reached that point yet, we typically recommend waiting until they have the necessary coursework so the preparation is both efficient and impactful.
